Vivo V80 5G: Expected Price, Specs, Camera and Launch Date

The Vivo V80 5G is shaping up to be an interesting upgrade in vivo’s V-series lineup, but there’s an important detail you should know before getting too excited: the standard V80 has not been officially launched in Pakistan yet.

As of September 2026, vivo Pakistan’s official lineup includes the V80 Lite 5G, V70, V70 FE and other models, but not the regular V80.

So everything about the V80’s specifications, price and launch timing should be treated carefully.

I’ve gone through the latest leaks and reports, and the picture is starting to become fairly clear. The big story is expected to be a large battery, 144Hz AMOLED display and a camera setup built around 50MP sensors.

But there’s one thing that could hold the phone back: performance may not get the major upgrade some buyers are expecting.

    Vivo V80 5G: What’s the latest?

Several reports point toward a V80 launch later in 2026. One recent report says an Indian launch could happen as early as October, although vivo has not officially confirmed that date.

Earlier leaks pointed to an August launch, but that window has clearly not resulted in an official V80 announcement in Pakistan.

That makes me a little cautious about treating any current “launch date” as final.

Bottom line: the Vivo V80 5G is still best treated as an upcoming or leaked phone, not an officially launched Pakistani model.

    Expected Vivo V80 5G specifications

Here is what the latest leaks suggest:

    FeatureVivo V80 5G — expected
    Display6.59-inch AMOLED
    Resolution1.5K / 1260 × 2750
    Refresh rateUp to 144Hz
    ChipsetSnapdragon 7 Gen 4 / Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 depending on leak
    RAM12GB expected
    Storage256GB / 512GB expected
    Rear cameras50MP + 50MP + 8MP
Telephoto50MP periscope, around 3x–3.7x optical zoom
    Selfie camera50MP autofocus
    BatteryAround 7,000–7,200mAh rumored
    Charging90W wired
    SoftwareAndroid 16 / OriginOS 6 rumored
    ProtectionIP68/IP69 rumored
    Network5G

Notice the chipset discrepancy. Some current listings claim Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, while others have started listing Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. That isn’t a small difference, so I would not treat the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 claim as confirmed until vivo itself announces the phone.

    Design and display

The V80 is expected to use a 6.59-inch flat AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.

On paper, that’s one of the more interesting parts of the phone.

A 144Hz panel should make scrolling, animations and supported games feel extremely smooth. The 1.5K resolution should also give text and photos a sharper look than a basic Full HD+ screen.

But I wouldn’t buy this phone purely for the refresh rate.

At this price, panel quality matters just as much. Brightness, outdoor visibility, color tuning and touch response will tell us more than the 144Hz number once the phone is actually available.

A huge battery could be the real upgrade

This is where the V80 gets exciting.

Leaks have pointed toward a 7,200mAh battery with 90W charging. Other current listings are less consistent, with some suggesting around 7,000mAh or even 6,500mAh. If the 7,200mAh figure turns out to be correct, battery life could become one of the V80’s biggest selling points.

Think long gaming sessions, hours of YouTube, social media throughout the day and still having plenty of battery left at night.

    The catch is obvious.

A bigger battery usually means a heavier phone. Until vivo publishes the official dimensions and weight, we don’t know how well the company has balanced battery capacity against comfort.

The 90W charging support is also promising. But don’t expect every 90W charging session to run cool. High-speed charging can produce noticeable heat, especially when you’re using the phone at the same time.

Camera: this could be the V80’s strongest feature

The camera setup is where I expect the V80 to get most of its attention.

    Current leaks point toward:

    • 50MP primary camera with OIS
    • 50MP telephoto/periscope camera
    • 8MP ultrawide camera
    • 50MP autofocus selfie camera
    • ZEISS branding/optics in some leaked specifications

The reported telephoto camera is particularly interesting because some listings suggest roughly 3x to 3.7x optical zoom.

That’s much more useful than simply putting a huge megapixel number on the main camera.

For portraits, pets, street photography and distant subjects, a real telephoto camera can make a noticeable difference.

Portrait photography could be a major selling point

The V-series has traditionally focused heavily on portraits, and the V80 appears to continue that strategy.

A dedicated telephoto camera should give portraits a more natural perspective than relying entirely on digital cropping.

I’d also expect vivo to put plenty of software processing into skin tones, background separation and night portraits.

But the 8MP ultrawide camera is the part I’m less excited about.

At this price range, an 8MP ultrawide can look noticeably softer than the primary camera, especially at night.

So if you regularly switch between the main and ultrawide cameras, don’t expect identical image quality.

Performance: this is where things get complicated

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 appears in several V80 leaks, while other newer listings claim Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

    That’s a huge distinction.

If vivo sticks with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, I would expect strong everyday performance, good multitasking and solid gaming, but it wouldn’t be the phone I’d choose primarily for maximum gaming performance at this price.

If the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 rumor turns out to be correct, the performance story becomes much more interesting.

For now, though, don’t buy the V80 based on the 8s Gen 3 rumor.

    Wait for vivo’s official announcement.

    Software

The V80 is expected to run Android 16 with OriginOS 6, according to current listings. WhatMobile

OriginOS has become a major part of vivo’s recent software experience, with plenty of customization and smart features.

The downside is that vivo’s software can feel busy if you prefer something close to stock Android.

This is one area where personal preference matters a lot.

If you like customization, there’s plenty to play with. If you want a clean, minimalist interface, you may need some time to adjust.

Vivo V80 5G price in Pakistan

This is another area where I would be careful.

One current Pakistani listing puts the expected V80 price at around Rs. 184,999 for 12GB + 256GB, while earlier reports estimated roughly Rs. 175,000–180,000 for the same configuration.

    Some listings also expect a 12GB + 512GB version.

    VariantExpected Pakistan price
    12GB + 256GBAround Rs. 175,000–185,000
    12GB + 512GBAround Rs. 190,000–205,000

These are not official vivo Pakistan prices.

Import duties, exchange rates and vivo’s final regional pricing can move the number significantly.

For comparison, vivo currently sells the V70 FE in Pakistan at Rs. 134,999 for 8GB + 256GB and Rs. 154,999 for 12GB + 256GB. Vivo

That puts a potentially Rs. 185,000 V80 in a much more demanding part of the market.

    Vivo V80 5G vs Vivo V80 Lite 5G

    Don’t confuse these two phones.

    The V80 Lite 5G is already official in Pakistan, with a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz display, Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor, 7,050mAh battery and 44W charging. It starts at Rs. 124,999 for 8GB + 128GB.

The rumored V80 sits above it.

    Charging90W rumored44W
    Price~Rs. 175k–185k+ rumoredRs. 124,999 starting

The Lite is already official, and vivo confirms its 7,050mAh battery, 120Hz display, IP68/IP69 rating and Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor.

The regular V80, if these leaks are accurate, is supposed to justify its higher price with better cameras, faster charging and stronger hardware.

What I like about the Vivo V80 5G

If the leaked specifications are accurate, there is plenty to like.

    • Huge battery: Around 7,000–7,200mAh would be excellent for heavy users.
    • 90W charging: A big improvement over the V80 Lite’s 44W system.
    • 50MP telephoto: Much more useful than a token macro sensor.
    • 144Hz AMOLED: Smooth and sharp.
    • 50MP autofocus selfie camera: Potentially excellent for portraits and video calls.
    • IP68/IP69 protection: A welcome feature for a premium phone.
    • Large storage options: 256GB and 512GB should cover most users.

    What worries me

This phone isn’t perfect on paper.

The chipset rumors are all over the place. That’s the biggest issue right now.

    The other concern is pricing.

At around Rs. 185,000, buyers will expect more than a nice design and a big battery. They’ll want excellent cameras, strong sustained performance, good speakers, reliable software support and a genuinely premium build.

There’s also the 8MP ultrawide camera. If vivo uses that sensor, it could be the weakest part of the camera system.

And finally, there’s the simple fact that the standard V80 isn’t officially listed by vivo Pakistan yet.

That’s why I wouldn’t recommend pre-ordering or paying a premium for an unofficial import based solely on leaked specifications.

Vivo V80 5G: Should you wait?

If you’re shopping around the Rs. 170,000–200,000 range, yes, I’d wait for the official V80 announcement.

The combination of a huge battery, 90W charging, high-refresh-rate AMOLED display and a dedicated telephoto camera makes the phone genuinely interesting.

But the processor needs to be confirmed.

The price needs to be confirmed.

And, most importantly, we need to see what vivo actually does with the cameras in real-world conditions.

For me, the V80 could be a very good all-rounder if vivo gets the price right. If it launches near Rs. 185,000 with Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, however, I would expect buyers to ask why the performance hardware isn’t more aggressive.

    Final verdict

The Vivo V80 5G has the ingredients of a strong premium mid-range phone, but it’s too early to call it a winner.

The battery looks excellent. The 50MP telephoto camera is promising. The 144Hz AMOLED display sounds great.

But the processor and final price are still question marks.

And that’s important because this isn’t a Rs. 100,000 phone. If vivo wants to charge around Rs. 180,000–200,000 in Pakistan, the V80 needs to feel premium in every area.

My advice right now: wait for the official launch.

Once vivo confirms the chipset, camera sensors, battery capacity, dimensions, software support and Pakistan price, we’ll know whether the V80 is genuinely worth buying or simply another expensive V-series refresh.

    Vivo V80 5G expected highlights: 144Hz AMOLED, 50MP triple camera, 50MP telephoto, huge ~7,000mAh battery, 90W charging and 5G.

For now, those remain expected specifications, not confirmed official specifications.
