If you searched for Realme C100x 5G, there’s one important correction to make right away: the Realme C100x is a 4G phone, not a 5G phone. Realme launched it in India on July 16, 2026, with a starting price of ₹14,499 for the 4GB/64GB model.
It has an 8,000mAh battery.
The display is only HD+, the chipset is entry-level, and the storage uses older eMMC technology.

The core specifications are consistent across recent launch reports, although some third-party listings have conflicting memory and storage information. The officially launched Indian configuration is the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version at ₹14,499.
Design: Big Battery, Big Phone
The C100x isn’t a small phone.
You get a 6.8-inch display, and the handset weighs around 219 grams. That’s not outrageously heavy, but you’ll definitely notice the size in your hand and pocket.
Realme offers two finishes: Deepblue Tides and Golden Coast.
There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a customizable Pulse Light on the rear for notifications and charging status.
The interesting part is durability.
The C100x carries an IP64 rating, meaning it gets protection against dust and water splashes. Realme also markets its reinforced ArmorShell construction and MIL-STD-810H testing for shock resistance. That doesn’t make this a waterproof rugged phone, though. Don’t take it swimming.
My main concern is the size. The giant battery is great, but there’s no getting around the fact that this is a large budget phone.

Realme is also claiming strong long-term battery durability, with the cell retaining more than 80% capacity after seven years of regular use. That’s a manufacturer claim rather than something I’d treat as independently proven.
There’s a downside, though.
Big battery = big phone.
You can’t squeeze 8,000mAh into a tiny, lightweight chassis without making compromises somewhere.
Software: Android 16 Is a Nice Start
The C100x launched with Android 16 and Realme’s software layer.
You also get features such as Google Gemini and Circle to Search, according to launch coverage.
That’s good news for a budget phone.

The Realme C100x is not a 5G phone, and that changes how I would evaluate it.
This isn’t trying to be a performance monster. It isn’t trying to be a camera phone either.
It’s basically a battery-first budget smartphone.
The 8,000mAh cell is the star. The 45W charging, 120Hz display, IP64 protection and Android 16 support add some welcome extras.
But the HD+ LCD, Unisoc T7250 and eMMC 5.1 storage are reminders that Realme had to cut costs somewhere.
At ₹14,499 in India, the C100x makes sense if endurance is your number-one priority. If you want speed or 5G, I’d skip it.
My take: Buy it for the battery. Don’t buy it for the 5G — because it doesn’t have any.
